Some weeks you're building.
Some weeks you're just holding the line.
Coming back from the holidays was rough as.
The first week back always hits different. My brain still wanted slow mornings, long coffees, the kind of stillness that holiday mode does to you.
But the hungry version of me.. he doesn't care about any of that.
That first week back was hard. A few things felt like they were slipping. I got frustrated more than I'd like to admit. And when you're in that headspace, everything feels heavier than it actually is. Small problems feel like big ones. The path forward feels less obvious than it was the week before.
Then last week happened.
A client surprised me in a good way. A mate had my back when I needed it.
And just like that.. I was reminded of something I keep having to re-learn.
The highs feel like proof. Proof that you're on the right track, that the work is landing, that the risk was worth it.
The lows feel like danger. Real danger. Like maybe you read it wrong.
But most of the time.. they're both just seasons.
The business doesn't live in either of them permanently. You're just passing through.
If you're in a rough week right now.. don't make it mean more than it does.
Keep going.
