Proximity is power.

Proximity is power.

I traded it away for a couple years.

Id disappear all day, then act like that was my preference.

Like being away was just “normal.” And to be fair.. it is normal.

But I’m not trying to be normal. I’m trying to be around..

And if “normal” costs that.. I’m out.

Not everyone can snap their fingers and change their setup.

But most of us do have levers. Hard ones. Scary ones. You know.. Pay cut.. location.. hours.. ego.

Still levers.

Now im back working from an office in the backyard.

Winsor pops out for darts mid task.

If I can, I pause.. chuck a couple 26s.. then back to work.
If I can’t, that’s fine too.

That’s the win.

I had a little hoon at building family around work. Work fits around family now.

Proximity is power.

To be straight up.. I’m figuring out how my white collar skills stay valuable in the AI era to keep this momentum going.

But in the meantime, I’m prioritising my kids while they’re still kids.

I don’t get to do that again.
